Four-Part
Workshop
Series
Teams (2-6 members) attend
leadership training workshops every 8 weeks. Between workshops
teams conduct activities with a local School Counseling Advisory
Council. At the conclusion of the school year, teams have
developed an Indiana Gold Star School Counseling Program Portfolio
(may be submitted for the Gold Star School Counseling Award)
Two-Day
Summer Intensive
Individuals attend two consecutive
days of training during which they role play the part of an School
Counseling Advisory Council going through the school counseling
redesign process.
Online
Workshop
Using resources and instructions
provided online, individuals convene and facilitate eight meetings
with a local School Counseling Advisory Council. Agendas,
facilitator notes, Power Point presentations, speaker notes, posters,
document templates, and other resources are provided online. At
the conclusion of the school year, the school will have everything
needed to develop their School Counseling Program Portfolio for the
Indiana Gold Star School Counseling Award.
